Harem God: Leveling Up Yanderes in the Apocalypse Chapter 66 Playing For Prizes

Manka cleared the area as Tricksie made the titan smaller, and Kazz and Mirth kept his arm pinned to the ground.

Once finished, the 40-foot snake woman called out in a booming voice. "I’m ready!"

"Kaaaaaaa~ay!" Tricksie yelled back.

Caitlyn glided up Kargon’s chest toward his head. With the titan’s right arm pinned down and its left wrist ground into dust, its head was the safest place they could be.

Tricksie grabbed the titan’s earlobe, prepared to hold on. She couldn’t let go until the attack connected.

"Women, get to the east side, now!" Manka roared at top volume.

The candidates in the area had to be deaf and blind to not hear Manka or see what was unfolding. It showcased their incompetency if they didn’t run to the west, and no one cared if they died.

The titan was now 70 feet tall, not excessively large compared to the snake woman. So when she slithered to Kargon at high speed and hit him with her overpowering strength, the punch blew a hole out of his back, sending a tidal wave of blood arcing over the trench.

Kargon fell backward, Tricksie released, and Caitlyn flew out of the titan’s ear.

A second later, the titan instantly rewound to his original size in a horrifying showcase of magic’s raw power.

BOOOOOOOOOOOM!

A massive earthquake rocked both sides of the wall, creating a landslide of wreckage that killed countless monsters, candidates, and survivors.

Luckily, most candidates were safe, as the landslide only occurred on the west side, an area that the candidates desperately avoided from the beginning.

The monsters, beasts, and creatures beyond the trench were not so lucky.

When the 350-foot titan fell to the ground, it caused countless buildings to collapse, leading hundreds to die after being buried, even if they survived getting flattened.

The area was officially decimated between the boiling river, titan, and collapsed debris creating a wall. Only the demons navigating around the death zone remained.

"Tricksie, here’s my last mana potion." Leon announced while reaching into his item storage.

He pulled out a bottle the size of a necklace bead and offered it to the bunny in a comically cute display.

Tricksie giggled and accepted the bead in her hand, cupped in front of her chest. It instantly became full-sized.

"We need to shrink Kargon to a normal size to prevent him from becoming a bridge for the remaining monsters." Leon explained.

"Then this side is no longer an issue. Once you’re done, you can wind him up and throw him to take out the demons. That will take out this side of the battlefield. That’s our new job."

"Got it!" Tricksie said with a warm smile.

She immediately complied and drank it while Caitlyn flew to the titan’s knee. It would only take 30 seconds, and they had time with the collapsed buildings acting as a barrier.

As the shrinking began, Leon took note of the situation.

"Tch! They didn’t give us the kills for the titans falling." Leon scoffed with a salty voice.

"At least Kern is doing her job. I’m not sure it’ll be enough.

I wish I didn’t have to worry about people’s perception of me so we could’ve massacred the males and secured most of our objectives instantly."

Leon let out a cute sigh. He hated that his people would fear him for his actions. It was extremely inconvenient.

However, he was grateful because they consolidated their group into forty vehicles. So if the titans showed up at the last moment as originally intended, it could have wiped out 90% before the watching eyes of the haremites in the sanctuary.

Only one word would describe the impact of the development. Trauma.

They were lucky, but he didn’t feel that way at the moment.

"We only had five casualties so far, will gain another 150 potential haremites, and we’ll take most of the prizes." He said after a period of silence.

"We’ve accomplished what we set out to do. That’s what matters."

Eighty people came to save the candidates. Five drivers had died before Leon shrunk the rest and sent them back to the Lemmox Sanctuary, his primary objective.

Everything he gained after that was a bonus, and so far, they profited handsomely.

Meanwhile, on the main battlefield, things were getting rough. The demons extinguished the lethal holy fire on Monitus and finally stepped foot on the other side of the trench.

"Find the angel! She dies first!" The demon commander roared.

27 of the original fifty demons let out a battle cry and began climbing the wreckage.

A warp gate opened under their feet when they reached the top, dropping them into the abyss. A moment later, they reappeared 150 feet above the sky along with thousands of pounds of debris and fell to the earth, crushing half of the remaining demons.

The commander dodged at the last moment and stared at his depleted forces in disbelief. Eighteen were killed or buried under rubble instantly.

Another five unburied themselves, but they had broken bones and cracked plating.

"HUUUUUMAAANNNS!" The demon commander roared.

Cynthia fell to the ground, panting with sweat pouring down her face.

"Don’t insult me by comparing me to humans." The elf laughed with a bitter expression, "But... I’m protecting them for some reason."

Leon’s face flashed before her eyes. The human was strange, a mystery.

He shared her same ambivalence but was a shitty leader and a delusional fool. The human walked around espousing virtues he didn’t believe in, just as he faked emotions he didn’t have.

And yet the small number of emotions he held for his harem members was fascinating. It made her question if she, too, could live delusionally.

The happy type of delusions, not the ones she was experiencing.

She limped toward the barrier with mana deprivation, laughing at her willingness to play the hero.

Cynthia understood that the demons were a threat that candidates couldn’t handle. From a mission perspective, killing them was rational.

However, she didn’t owe Leon, she had already done her job, and now she’d probably die.

"ScCcRrEeEeEeEeEeCcHh!

"Heh. Figures." Cynthia laughed as she saw a wave of bats flying toward her.

"You okay, love? You’re looking down." A sweet voice called out to her right.

The elf was a foot away from a wall, so it startled her. She immediately jumped a foot away and aimed her bow.

To bewilderment, there was a wall there. But what was more shocking was the face of a fox woman sticking out of it.

Foxy looked up at the screeching bats closing in.

"This isn’t the best place to speak, so let’s talk about it someone more private, kay?" The fox woman giggled.

Her arm shot out of the wall, grabbing Cynthia by the wrist and pulling her toward it. The elf braced for impact, unable to pull away.

To her shock and amazement, she passed straight through the wall into a half-collapsed building.

"What kind of freakish power do you have?" Cynthia cried in disbelief.

"Well that was rude." Foxy pouted, "We’re a race that dig holes to make dens. It’s ex~hausting, you know? So I asked for a power to do it."

Cynthia’s eyes glazed over. "You did it for convenience?"

Foxy gave the elf a mocking glance.

"Of course not, you idiot. We ask for powers that we know about. Idiot humans asked for useless guns; I asked for something that passes through walls.

Now, don’t you think you owe me an apology, considering it just saved your life?"

Cynthia scoffed. "I don’t give apologies."

Foxy’s face turned red, and she began stomping away like a child.

"Wait, you moron. I show people I’m grateful." Cynthia called out tersely, drawing the fox woman’s attention.

"So give me five minutes to recover, and then we can run to safety while I protect you between buildings."

"Tsun-dere." Foxy giggled.

"What the hell does that mean?" Cynthia asked in annoyance.

"It means you’re an idiot in disguise. Now sit down and let’s have some girl talk." Foxy demanded.

While the two began chatting, the battle raged on.

"Finally," Kern said from the sky while looking down at the decimated pile of male candidates.

The group was too busy to kill the survivors weaving in and out of wreckage below. Only fifty survived, but that was more than enough in her mind.

She had checked the event’s status and knew if she killed them, she’d be able to pick up dying survivors on the way back to claim her prize.

Kern liked Leon because his ruthlessness was earning her prizes. She wasn’t ruthless by nature, but she was ambivalent to others.

So if someone else’s cruelty earned her items in droves, she wanted to be part of his main force in the future. It made her grin.

Kern took her recovery kit and then took a deep breath. "Screeeeeeech!"

The bats searching for ways into the building Foxy and Cynthia were in and joined her by her side.

"Scree, ki, ki, ki, scree!" She communicated.

A moment later, a wave of bats flew toward the survivors, weaving in and out of enemies without concern for their lives.
