The smell of gunpowder was everywhere.
Loud explosive sounds made Qiu Tong’s ears. She wanted to take advantage of the chaos to move to the periphery to meet up with Jin Yang.

When the Vulture members discovered her, they surrounded her from all directions.
Qiu Tong picked up two submachine guns from the ground and took cover as she fired. She tried to contact Qiu Xingyu through the tracker, but the chaos in front of her made it impossible for her to find the right opportunity.
The president’s guards were in a deadlock with the Vulture Organization at the periphery. The masked criminals sneaked into the factory.
The moment they saw Qiu Tong, they issued a fierce barrage of gunfire.
One of the bullets pierced Qiu Tong’s arm. She threw her submachine gun away in pain and took cover.
Who were they?!
The Vulture Organization wouldn’t kill her, but the masked criminals clearly wanted her life.
Outside the factory, Jin Yang brought the guards closer to the southeast corner. He called out Qiu Tong’s name in a hoarse voice, but there was no response. When the masked criminals saw him, they frowned before quickly surrounding Qiu Tong.
They aimed their guns at Qiu Tong. A red dot light appeared on her forehead.
Bang! The masked criminal pulled the trigger, and a bullet shot out from the barrel.
Qiu Tong couldn’t dodge in time and looked at the bullet coming at her. A black shadow suddenly appeared in front of her and threw her to the ground.
“Song Yan?! Why are you here?”
Qiu Tong looked at the face before her. Still in shock, she covered his bleeding abdomen with her hands.
Song Yan spat out some blood. His eyes darkened as he said, “Jin Yang is simply trash. He still hasn’t come to save you.”
“Do you want to consider being with me? I saved your life!”
Song Yan smiled and the sight of his teeth covered in blood shocked Qiu Tong. She tore off a piece of cloth and bandaged his wounds before dragging him to a safe spot. Jin Yang and his guards slowly gained the upper hand as the masked criminals and Vulture members began to retreat.
Ke Le led the mercenaries into the factory to conduct a search. He saw Qiu Tong was covered in blood and shouted anxiously, “Boss!”
“Where are you injured? There’s a doctor outside. I’ll bring you out now!”
Ke Le bent over to carry Qiu Tong but she just held her injured arm and pushed him away. “Carry him out of here.”

“This blood is all his. If we delay any longer, he might lose too much blood and go into shock.”
Ke Le was surprised and confused at the sight of Song Yan.
The mercenaries supported her as they walked out of the factory. Jin Yang ran over quickly and the two of them hugged tightly amongst the ruins. Qiu Tong looked at the bloodstains on his face and placed her hand over it, using her special ability to heal his wounds. “Bo Lang escaped. He’s a high-ranking member of the Vulture Organization.”
“I’m afraid it will be difficult for us to investigate further.”
Jin Yang felt his heartbeat stabilize. He held her face in his hands and leaned down to kiss her, ignoring the situation.
As their lips touched, Qiu Tong could feel his uneasiness. She wrapped her arms around his neck and responded to him.
“Ahem.”
Lying on the stretcher, Song Yan opened his eyes and saw this intimate scene. He rolled his eyes and laid back down.
Shao An led the guards to clean up the battlefield and gather the corpses. Jin Yang sent people to carefully search for any information they might have left behind. Qiu Xingyu looked at them with tears in her eyes. The children surrounded Qiu Tong and Qiu Xingyuan sensibly disinfected her wounds.
Ye Luan wrapped gauze around her and said hesitantly, “Auntie Qiu.”
Qiu Tong hugged him and patted her head gently. “Don’t be afraid, I’m fine!”
Ye Luan felt her warmth and couldn’t help crying.
When he and Qiu Rong were hiding in the bulletproof car, his mind was filled with scenes of his father’s death. The gun battle. His father had hidden him in a safe corner. “Good child, come out only when there’s no sound outside! Don’t turn around. Run forward. Protect yourself, okay?”
The shadow in Ye Luan’s heart was triggered at this moment. He trembled as he tugged at the corner of Qiu Tong’s clothes and gritted his teeth.
Qiu Tong patted his back and whispered, “Your father loves you very much. He must be watching you from above.”
Qiu Xingyu wiped her tears in empathy. Song Yan sat up weakly and looked at his bandage, which was already soaked through with blood. He said in a daze, “Hey, do you guys have any conscience? Without me, your Mommy would have died.”
“Cough cough…”
Song Yan shivered. His entire body felt cold as if he had fallen into an ice pit. He curled up his body and grimaced in pain.
Qiu Xingyu ran to his side with the first aid kit. She held Song Yan’s bloodstained hand.
“Uncle Song Yan, thank you!”
Qiu Xingyu blinked her sparkling eyes, which were filled with fear. However, she still carefully removed the bandage. “Uncle, bear with the pain. You’ll get better soon!”
Listening to her voice, Song Yan’s eyes gradually closed before he fainted.
