667 Are You My Brother’s Girlfriend?

The moment Bai Xi Xi entered the house, a little girl around Bai Cai’s age was staring back at her. Seeing that the little girl was staring at her unblinking made her pause. Bai Xi Xi did not know whether she should go in or stay there.

The sound of a child crying was getting louder.

She swept her gaze across the living room and saw that it was such a mess. There were toys and clothes everywhere.

Fu Ying invited Bai Xi Xi to sit down. Then, she went to tidy the place a little bit. She picked up the scattered clothes before leaving her in the living room alone.

Bai Xi Xi wondered just what was she doing in Fu Chen’s house. In fact, she could leave sooner the moment she handed the notes from their teacher.

She then thought about the crying voice again.

It seemed that Fu Chen was quite busy looking after the kids.

She wondered if this was the reason he did not show up at school for a few days.

After looking around for a while, Bai Xi Xi decided to text her brother to tell him that she was visiting a classmate’s house before heading back. She gave her brother Fu Chen’s address for safety purposes.

Just then, Bai Xi Xi felt as if someone was staring at her. She turned around and saw a few kids standing behind the wall to peek at her. Each of them resembled each other. Then, Bai XI Xi noticed that she had seen a few of the kids at the playground not too long ago.

Seeing that she had noticed their presence, the kids began to hide again. The house was once again filled with the children’s laughing voice.

Bai Xi Xi sat at the place quietly and waited for Fu Chen to return. After giving it a brief thought, Bai Xi Xi took out the notes from their teacher and placed them on her thigh.

Fu Chen seemed quite busy. Bai Xi XI decided that she should give the notes to Fu Chen and leave the house quickly. It would be better if she did not disturb him.

Just then, Fu Ying appeared in the living room again while carrying a tray of cookies and a glass of water. “Pretty Sister, you should have something to eat first. My brother will come out to see you once he had sorted out the boys.”

“Alright.” Bai Xi Xi nodded. Seeing that the little girl was staring at her, Bai Xi Xi then leaned over to take a cookie from the plate.

She wondered if it would be fine for her to eat them. Bai Xi Xi knew that she should not accept any food from a stranger. But, Fu Chen could not be considered a stranger, right?

Under Fu Ying’s gaze, Bai Xi Xi finally took a small bite.

The sweetness and the buttery taste of the cookie spread to her mouth.

Bai Xi Xi looked at the little girl again and nodded. “It tastes quite good.”

Fu Ying had a bright smile on her face. “Of course. Pretty Sister, this is something that my elder brother made. Big Brother Fu Chen is really good at baking.”

Her gaze shifted to the plate of cookies again. Bai Xi Xi did not expect that Fu Chen was quite good at baking cookies.

Bai Xi Xi ate the cookies slowly. However, by the time she finished that piece of cookie, Fu Chen still did not return to look for her. Bai Xi Xi glanced at her watch and wondered if she should leave now.

She looked around and noticed that those kids were no longer around. However, the sound of the kids shouting was still loud.

After pondering about it for a while, Bai Xi Xi stood up and walked over in the direction of the voice.

When she arrived, Bai Xi Xi saw that Fu Chen was carrying a toddler in one arm while stirring something on the stove.

Seeing that Bai Xi Xi had appeared in the kitchen, the shouting stopped and the atmosphere suddenly turned quiet.
