697 The Evidence was Right in Front of Him

Jian Chi was surprised when it was announced that the Principal wanted to see him. He stood up from his seat under his classmates’ gaze with a confused look on his face.

A few of his close friends were asking what was going on, but this was something that Jian Chi could not answer.

Jian Chi left the classroom and followed the teacher to the private room.

On his way there, Jian Chi could not stop wondering just why the principal wanted to meet him. A lot of thoughts came to his mind, but he would not be sure about it until he meet the principal.

Jian Chi looked at Teacher An who was escorting him to see the principal and asked, “Teacher An, do you know the reason the principal wanted to see me?”

The teacher glanced at him briefly before he retracted his gaze again. “No. The principal did not tell me. Just that, he might have something important to talk to you about.”

The teacher had heard of the reason Jian Chi was called over, however, he felt that it was better if Jian Chi figured out the reason himself when he met the principal.

Teacher An cast a few glances at Jian Chi while the student was pondering over the reason over and over again. He thought that Jian Chi looked like a sensible student. Who would have thought that he would do such a thing as tarnishing his classmates’ names?

After a while, the two of them finally arrived at the private room.

Teacher An stood aside and looked at Jian Chi. “You can go in. The principal should be waiting for you inside.”

Jian Chi nodded at the teacher politely. “Teacher An, thank you.” He inhaled a deep breath and knocked on the door.

“Come in.”

Hearing the principal’s voice, Jian Chi pushed the door open and stepped inside. The look on his face froze upon noticing that there were quite a few people in the room.

Jian Chi swept his gaze around the room and finally realized that Bai Xi Xi and Fu Chen were also around. When he did not see them in the classroom earlier, Jian Chi thought that the two of them were too scared to show up in school after their photos were published in the school forum.

Before the photos were taken down, Jian Chi had the pleasure to read the students scolding the two of them. He thought that the two would be embarrassed to go to school.

Then, what were they doing here?

His gaze finally fell on the adults in the room.

Seeing the way the principal was looking at him made his heart skip a beat. Jian Chi felt that he knew the reason the Principal was looking for him, but he was having a hard time accepting it.

He refused to believe that someone would know that he was the one who posted the photos on the school forum. After all, he had used a fake account and had even posted them in an internet cafe.

Jian Chi felt that he had done enough to conceal his track. He did not believe that someone would know what he has done.

His gaze shifted to the two adults he had never seen before.

Suddenly, his body started to shiver in fear.

Jian Chi felt that the woman beside Bai Xi Xi’s gaze was especially unfriendly. If felt as if he had done something wrong.

Forcing a smile, Jian Chi then turned to the principal again and spoke, “Principal Mu, you called me over?”

The principal looked him up and down with an unfriendly look on his face. When he recalled what Jian Chi had done, the principal become unhappy again, especially knowing that this boy dared to make trouble with someone from the Zhang family.

“You are student Jian Chi?” The principal asked.

“Principal Mu, it’s me.”fr𝚎𝘦𝘄𝙚𝗯𝗻𝗼𝐯e𝗹. 𝑐o𝒎

“Come here.” Principal Mu waved his hand, motioning for Jian Chi to step closer. Then, he pointed at the documents lined on the table. “Take a look at these and explain to me what happened.”

Jian Chi walked over to take a look. His eyes fell on the first paper on the table. Then, the smile on his face froze upon seeing the screenshot of the post he made on the forum last night.

His heartbeat accelerated.

Then, Jian Chi looked at the next paper which included a few data that he did not understand. On the last paper was a photo of him. He could see him walking into an internet cafe and sitting behind one of the computers.

Coincidentally, there was a CCTV behind him. Because of that, the photo could capture what was on his screen. It was the school’s forum.

He could feel Bai Xi Xi and Fu Chen’s penetrating gaze on him. But he did not have the courage to look at them.

Principal Mu kept his eyes on Jian Chi as he studied the photos. “Jian Chi, can you explain to me what is going on?”

Jian Chi raised his head again in fear. He glanced at his homeroom teacher, hoping that she would help in this situation. “Principal Mu, I don’t understand.”

“You don’t understand?” Principal Mu’s anger rose.

He thought that if Jian Chi would confess his mistake, he might not be so angry. Seeing that the boy wanted to keep pretending made him furious. The evidence was right in front of him, but the boy still wanted to play dumb.

If it was not because of the guests who presented the room, Principal Mu would really want to smash something in anger. He gritted his teeth and spat, “Then, I will help you to understand! Jian Chi, the person who posted those rumors on the school’s forum last evening was you, wasn’t it? Those rumors circulating in school yesterday were also done by you, right?”

“Principal Mu, it’s not me.”

“You still wanted to deny it. There is evidence!” Principal Mu was getting angrier. “Jian Chi, you better tell us the truth. Otherwise, you will have to face the law for spreading malicious rumors about Student Bai Xi Xi and Fu Chen.”
