297 Chapter 296: Soul fusion

“Kid, do you know what soul fusion is?”

Cecile was stunned by Damon’s words and he paused. Rose still had her back turned on them probably because feeling good about herself.

‘I am asking if you are willing to become one with the God of death and destruction?’ Damon’s indifferent and unhurried tone rang in his head.f𝑟e𝙚𝒘𝗲𝚋𝚗oѵ𝘦𝙡. c𝒐m

‘Can I know why?’ Cecile asked.

‘If we go there, they will figure out this power is not yours since I’m still a foreign being within your body.’ Damon casually said.

‘If that happens, my family will be considered accomplices and be killed’ Cecile paled and Damon mentally nodded.

‘What happens if we fuse?’ Cecile asked timidly. The fact, Damon was asking for permission meant that there must be something bad attached to it.

‘You and I become one soul never to be separated again. That way they will never be able to tell who it is since it’s something new. Unfortunately, once that happens this body becomes ours and when that happens the stronger soul will take over while the other one is forced to sit in this dark room and watch the world unfold before his eyes forever’ Damon said slowly.

He didn’t necessarily hate the kid so he decided to let him know before it happens. His words stung but Cecile was stronger than he used to be so he wasn’t moved too much.

He already knew it was only a matter of time before Damon takes over his body which is sad. But on the bright side becoming part of this Demon lord meant he has become the demon lord itself. He has instantly become elevated to a very high level.

For some reason, he felt excited and a strong surge of greed rushed through his boys.

Damon, who was seated in the darkness, couldn’t help but reveal a cruel smile. Somehow, this kid never fails to surprise him. Even in this situation, he was focused on power and not even his life.

“No wonder his greed was the only thing in this world that could bring me back. Not bad… not bad…. If we met in different circumstances, I would have loved to make you my disciple” Damon said with a smile.

This kid has really exceeded his expectations.

‘My family?’ Cecile said in a low tone.

‘While we are still in this world, I will let you spend your time with them and live a normal life. This war will take a while so you will have enough time to say goodbye. After that, we will defeat the Beyond and venture into the heavens. I would like to see those deities who believe demon lords like us shouldn’t exist!’ Damon said with forced eyes and Cecile smiled sheepishly.

Truly, this demon lord was someone with an overbearing character. It’s no wonder all these weak gods needed to join hands to kill him.

“Then, let’s do it….” Cecile said out loud, catching Rose’s attention.

She thought he was talking about the test so she moved aside and waited for him to come. Unknown to her, he was speaking to the Demon lord in his head. The one who will help him conquer the universe!

With each step Cecile took, soul ripples exploded from his body. Seeing this Rose was shocked as she saw his hair slowly turn from black to rainbow.

Fear gripped her to a point where she couldn’t move. The only one she remembered with the rainbow-colored hair was the kid who gave the deities the greatest scare of their lives.

For some reason, she felt a sense of dread looming over her head but what happened next stunned her.

All the pillars began shivering violently with the entire cave while Cecile approached. As his hair slowly turned rainbow, it kept growing rapidly until it reached his waist length.

Looking at it, Rose felt like Cecile had aged from a sixteen-year-old to a twenty-year-old with an amazing physique.

Her eyes shifted to the pillars at the central path and as soon as Cecile reached the edge, four lit up and raced toward him.

A terrifying surge of numerous draconic auras explodes violently. Only now did Rose calm down. At first, she thought it was the God of death and destruction but seeing it was that the kid inherited all the powers of the ancestral dragons in one body, she felt more relaxed even though this is shocking as well.

“I really hit the jackpot this time” Rose rejoiced in his mind.

As long as he keeps Cecile as his subordinate, he can attain the kids’ gratitude and allegiance before anyone else. He would have a powerful ally by his side.

“Now this is over, I have to head down to Linchester… My family is at risk!” Damon said as he wore a stern expression.

Seeing this Rose sighed bitterly. It was expected for the kid to act like this since this is his first mortal life. In fact, this simple action alone made him drop all the suspicions he felt toward Cecile after the little display.

“I have prepared your army…You can go ahead since it’s important. I will inform master Beyond of what happened today. Congratulations kid, I have high expectations of you” Rose tried to play the honorable role and gain Cecile’s respect. Unknown to her the kid she was speaking to wasn’t the powerless human but the God of death and destruction.

Damon only gave her a dry nod before leaving the cave. As he walked forward his clothes fluttered in the wind and his cold eyes remained.

Amongst the soldiers given to him to deal with this are simple. There were over two thousand soldiers. Amongst them, one thousand five hundred are nothing special. They are a combination of normal human swordsmen and archers. The gun was not still a new creation here so it was mass-produced yet for numerous people to use. Within the last five hundred, about a hundred were knights of light which were rated one star and then there were about fifty Apostles. The remaining three three hundred were musketeers and highly trained marksmen!

As soon as Damon arrived, everyone fell on their knees but he didn’t bother them. He quickly mounted his horse and looked around, gazing deeply into the eyes of each soldier.

“They wish to take our land from us. Destroy the peace that has existed for centuries…. I say we go kick some demonic ass” Damon’s voice boomed and everyone was stunned.

Never have they heard a short yet amazing speech.

The world boomed as countless people screamed at the top of their voices. Soon the two thousand strong forces began to move under Damon’s orders, heading towards Linchester!
