Arthur smiled, softly explaining, “I’m picking roses to weave a magic flower crown for you. A crown made from the roses grown next to the primordial ancestor’s tombstone has an absolutely binding power.”
Bai Weiwei was mystified. “What power?”
After looking at the girl’s innocent and naive face, Arthur didn’t hide anything.
He began to weave the rose crown with bloodstained hands. “The power to bind marriage.”
The crown was complete.
It was a gorgeous and bloody flower crown. The flowers were thickly clustered, colorful and heavy.
Arthur took several steps back, his gaze growing serious as he held the flower crown. “Weiwei, this is a flower crown made from a combination of my blood and the primordial ancestor’s magic. Once you put it on, you acknowledge that we are married.”
Bai Weiwei looked hesitant.
She stared at the crown in Arthur’s hands, not moving.
Arthur seemed to know why she was hesitating. “I won’t make you a Blood Kin right away. No matter how you become my wife, I will still respect you.”
No matter how secretly he schemed, what he wanted in the end was still her wholehearted willingness to stay by his side, and a heart that loved him.
Bai Weiwei seemed somewhat helpless. She reached out and clasped Arthur’s bloodied hands.
She lowered her head, saying softly, “You have to hurt your hands like this just to get married? Why can’t we go to a store and buy a pair of rings? It’s cheap and fast.”
Then she ducked her head, a tender smile at the corner of her mouth.
“Put it on for me.”
A glimmering light bloomed in Arthur’s eyes. “These flowers are thorny flowers. Once I place this on your head, your heart will be bound to me, and in the future, you will be unable to like any other person.”

His voice rang clear in the ice-cold, eternally silent cemetery.
“With blood as my fetters and time as my shackles, I offer to you a Blood Kin’s eternal love. Weiwei, I request that you accept me as your husband.”
This request held a tone that was overbearing and difficult to turn down.
Bai Weiwei’s mind stirred. She gazed into his eyes filled with affection and saw her image reflected in his eyes.
As though bewitched, she leaned over, her lips nearly touching his.
Then she said softly, “Yes, I accept.”
