However, unlike what Speedy expected, Lupa was not killed. Instead, her arms became blurry before sparks, and tiny fragments of Lupa’s claws appeared.

Speedy frowned. He swiftly swung his arms at incredible speed. Many of the audience could not keep track of at least half of his attacks. Yet Lupa, his opponent, could see all of his attacks.

Even though Lupa could not outspeed Speedy, she had already fought against Vlad, a vampire who not only was far faster but also spent centuries living with a fast body. Lupa also sparred with Lucas, a divine paladin faster than Speedy.
