671 The Situation at Your Home

Because of her seating position at the corner and the back row of the class, Bai Xi Xi was able to look at everyone in the class well. Therefore, she could notice that Jian Chi has been looking at Fu Chen from his seat.

Knowing Jian Chi, Bai Xi Xi knew that the boy was still dissatisfied over what happened not too long ago. Until this day, Jian Chi still could not find out the person who had stuffed that wallet into his desk.

The person who wanted to create trouble was Jian Chi. But when he was implicated in that problem, he was unhappy.

For the past few days, Jian Chi was looking for someone who he could vent his anger to. However, Fu Chen had not attended school for a while and he had to choose someone else.

Seeing that Fu Chen had returned, Jian Chi naturally thought that he would be a good target.

Anyway, Jian Chi thought that the reason he was punished by Teacher Shen not too long ago was related to Fu Chen.

Bai XI XI thought that Jian Chi was definitely planning something.

After looking at Fu Chen for a while, Jian Chi finally shifted his gaze. Coincidentally, his gaze met with Bai Xi Xi’s. Fu Chen seemed surprised when their gazes met. However, he recovered quickly and shot Bai Xi Xi a smile before he turn around to his friends.

Before everyone leave, the teacher did not forget to remind everyone that their test would begin tomorrow and that everyone should study hard for it.

Bai Xi Xi watched as Fu Chen picked up his bag and leave as she was still tidying up her desk.

When Bai Xi Xi finally left the school building, she could no longer see Fu Chen’s figure like the last time.

Bai XI Xi pursed her lips into a thin line. She was actually planning to talk to Fu Chen a little bit. Who would have thought that he would walk too fast?

She inhaled a deep breath and planned to look for Fu Chen the next morning.

Bai Xi Xi walked along the path slowly. Just as she was walking past the park on her way home, her gaze caught the sight of someone familiar on the basketball court.

She stood at the side to watch him for a while. Then, Bai Xi Xi walked over and watched as Fu Chen shot the basketball into the hoop.

Fu Chen finally saw her appearance while he was picking up the ball. He rubbed the tip of his nose before walking to Bai Xi XI’s side with a smile on his face, “Class Monitor.”

“I saw you from a distance and decided to watch.”

“Oh.” Fu Chen flashed an embarrassed look. He was on his way home when he saw the basketball court in the park. Fu Chen knew that he was supposed to head home, but when he recalled how he has been busy at home for the past few days to look after his siblings, he decided to stay out for a while longer.

Fu Chen loved his siblings. However, after spending a few days with them, he thought that he would almost go crazy. It was not as if he had never babysat his siblings before. However, staying with them for a few days without an adult to help him was quite tiring.

He just wanted a little time for himself.

“Do you want to get some ice cream?” Bai Xi Xi spoke after a brief silence between them. She pointed in a direction and spoke, “The ice cream from that shop is quite tasty.”

The last time, she had taken Bai Xiang and the others to eat some ice cream at this shop.

Seeing that Fu Chen was hesitating, Bai Xi Xi quickly added, “It will be my treat.”

Fu Chen finally laughed. He stared at the girl in front of him and nodded. “Alright.”

The two entered the shop and chose the flavor of ice cream they liked. Bai Xi Xi chose the cream cheese and espresso flavor, while Fu Chen chose a durian flavor. However, when it was time to pay, Fu Chen took out his phone quickly and paid for their ice cream.

Seeing this made Bai Xi Xi frown. “What are you doing? Didn’t I say that I will pay for the ice cream?”

Fu Chen smiled. “Class Monitor, I’m treating you this time to thank you for helping me the other day. If you did not come over, perhaps, I would join the kids to cry.”

Bai Xi Xi stared at the boy in front of her for a while. Then, she turned around and chose a seat inside the ice cream shop.

After a brief hesitation, Fu Chen decided to follow her and sat across from her.

Bai Xi Xi took a spoonful of her ice cream. The sweet taste of the ice cream coated her tongue. Bai Xi Xi thought that the taste of cream cheese and espresso tasted very well together. She wondered if she should buy some for her nephew. As for Bai Jing Jing, she can only have a little taste.

When she looked up, Bai Xi Xi found that Fu Chen was looking at her. Their gazes met briefly before Fu Chen looked away. Bai Xi Xi recalled that she had wanted to talk to Fu Chen.

She watched as Fu Chen took a bite of his ice cream and spoke, “How is the situation at your home? Is everything going well?”

Fu Chen paused before he continued to scoop his ice cream with his spoon. “Mmm... It’s going alright. My mother already hired a few helpers around the house. At least, the situation around the house is a bit manageable.”

Once the help came in, Fu Chen no longer have to worry about the messy house or the kids’ meals. Everything was well taken care of.
