672 How is Aunt?

Fu Chen ate his ice cream slowly.

Once in a while, he would glance at the girl in front of him. Each time that she ate her ice cream, the corner of her lips would turn up into a light smile.

She did not know the complete story of what happened to Fu Chen’s family or why there were no adult men around the house. But since Fu Chen was living around this area, Bai Xi Xi thought that his family should be quite well off.

“But this is your final year and we are preparing for our university intake,” Bai Xi Xi continued. “I’m worried that you won’t be able to study well. I’m just saying that if you need to borrow my notes, you can come and find me. If there is anything that you don’t understand, you can ask me. I will do my best to help.”

Fu Chen smiled. It turned out that when Bai Xi Xi told him that she was going to help, she was talking about his study.

“Nothing.” Fu Chen spoke. He walked over to a corner and peeked at the kids.”I just wanted to know if you would return home and have dinner together.”

“I won’t be coming home,” his mother spoke. “I’m planning to visit your aunt after work.”

“How is aunt?”

There was a brief silence. “She still hasn’t woken up. The doctor did not know when she will wake up.” She heaved a long sigh and continued, “Fu Chen, I have to trouble you to look after the kids during this time.”

Fu Chen lowered his gaze. “Mmm... I know. Mom, you don’t have to worry.”
