675 Aunt, I Love You

On the weekend, Bai Xi Xi was a bit more eased. Her test ended and she planned to take it easy.

After washing up, Bai Xi Xi went to the dining area and saw that Bai Jing Jing was sitting in her high chair while eating her breakfast. Among the members of the family, this little girl was among the early risers.

Bai Jing Jing saw her aunt walking into the room and smiled brightly. “Aunt!” She picked up a piece of her omelet and spoke, “Eat.”

A warm smile curled on her lips. Bai Xi Xi walked over to the little girl and patted her on the head. “Jing Jing should eat first.”

The little girl pursed her lips. She stared at the piece of omelet in her hand and take a bite. Then, Bai Jing Jing smiled until her eyes turned crescent.

Each time she ate something delicious, Bai Jing Jing would be the happiest. The little girl really resembled her mother the most.

“Is it delicious?”

Bai Jing Jing nodded happily. “Delicious.”

“Xi Xi, good morning.”

Hearing the voice, Bai Xi Xi looked up and saw that her brother was walking into the room while carrying a glass of milk.

“Brother, good morning.” Bai Xi Xi looked around and realized that her sister-in-law was not around. “Where’s my sister-in-law?”

Usually, her sister-in-law would wake up early to accompany her daughter to eat.

“Jing Jing could not sleep last night,” Bai Qi spoke. “Your sister-in-law has been looking after her the whole night. Let her sleep a little more.”

Bai Xi Xi looked at her niece and pinched her chubby cheek softly. The soft and elastic cheek was quite addictive to pinch.

The little girl puffed her cheek and spoke, “Aunt, don’t pinch.”

“Alright.” Bai Xi Xi leaned over and kissed her instead. “I’ll just kiss you, alright?” Then, she looked at her brother and spoke, “Brother, are you not working today?”

“Hmm... a friend wanted to change his shift with me.” Bai Qi picked up a towel and wiped his daughter’s mouth. “Breakfast is ready. Xi Xi, you can eat with Jing Jing first.”

Bai Xi Xi walked into the kitchen and saw that her brother had prepared some porridge.

Usually, the auntie would cook their meals at home. However, whenever her brother was not working, he would sometimes cook some food for his family to eat. The kids seemed to prefer their dad’s cooking. However, everyone understood that Bai Qi was a busy man.

As it was rare for her brother to cook, everyone seemed to appreciate it even more.

Bai Xi Xi took a bowl of porridge before walking into the dining room again. She sat with Bai Jing Jing and accompanied the little girl for her breakfast.

The little girl was happy to finally have someone to accompany her to play.

After a while, both Bai Xiang and Zhang Qi Lin came down to have their breakfast as well.

Bai Xiang saw his aunt at the dining table and smiled brightly. He looked around and finally heaved in relief when he did not see his parents around. Then, Bai Xiang went to his aunt’s side and spoke, “Aunt, are you done with your test?”

Bai Xi Xi laughed. “What’s the matter?”

Bai Xiang looked at his aunt sheepishly. “If you are not busy, then, can we go to the park in the evening? Qi Lin wanted to eat ice cream.”

Zhang Qi Lin was about to pull the chair when he heard his brother mention his name. “Big brother, just say that you wanted to eat them. Why did you bring up my name?”

Bai Xiang coughed. “Aunt, I also would like to eat some ice cream.”

The little girl looked up from her breakfast and shouted. “Jing Jing want! Ice cream!” Because she was still small, her parents did not let her eat too much sweets. But, Bai Jing Jing recalled the sweet and cold taste of ice cream and started to drool.

Bai Xi Xi looked at the little girl and spoke, “Then, Aunt will buy for you later, alright? But Jing Jing can only eat a little, you know?”

Bai Jing Jing nodded. “Un. Aunt. I love you.”

The little girl’s words made Bai Xi Xi laugh. Who knew that this little girl can be quite good with her words when she wanted something?

The lively atmosphere put Bai Xi Xi in a good mood. She always loved spending her time being surrounded by the kids.

Bai Xiang and Zhang Qi Ling took their seat and started to have their breakfast.

Bai Xi Xi looked at them and suddenly remembered that Fu Chen said he wanted to have a one-on-one match with her.

The last time Fu Chen came up with the request, Bai Xi Xi told him that she would have a match with him at later date.

Suddenly, Bai Xi Xi wondered if she was going to see the boy again at the park later.

When the sun was no longer that hot, Bai Xiang dragged his little brother to look for their aunt. Bai Xiang reminded his aunt about what she had promised earlier that day and urged her to get ready to go out for some ice cream.

Bai Xi Xi was in the middle of reading some books. Remembering what she had promised, Bai Xi Xi took her purse before she went out with the brothers.

Fortunately, Bai Jing Jing was taking her nap. Otherwise, she might throw a tantrum, wanting to go with them to get some ice cream.

There were not many people around at the park when they arrived.

Bai Xi Xi shifted her gaze to the basketball court and paused when she saw the familiar silhouette of her tablemate, practicing basketball.

Seeing him made her stunned for a few seconds as Bai Xi Xi was not expecting that she would really see Fu Chen around.

“Aunt?” Bai Xiang was still excited to let his aunt treat him to ice cream when he noticed that she was a little distracted. He followed Bai Xi Xi’s line of gaze and finally saw Fu Chen. “Aunt, isn’t that the big brother from before?” His eyes lit up upon noticing that Fu Chen was on the basketball court.
