701 Transfer to Another School

After he was made to apologize to both Fu Chen and Bai Xi Xi, Jian Chi no longer showed up at school. Later, Teacher Du came to the class and announced that Jian Chi was going to transfer to another school. His family was planning to go abroad for work matters and Jian Chi would go with them.

Most of the basketball players were close friends with Jian Chi. Therefore, both of them were careful not to be seen by them, afraid that they might want to get revenge for Jian Chi.

It was Fu Chen who first retracted his gaze away.

The two of them continued to watch the practice in silence while keeping their distance.

After a while, Bai Xi Xi finally turned around to leave. She felt that watching the team training was too tiring.

She left the school building and walked back home, using the same path she usually took.

As she reached a corner, Bai Xi Xi caught the sight of Fu Chen who was walking behind her while keeping his distance.

Seeing him almost made her laugh. She seemed to notice that Fu Chen would keep his eyes on her from a distance. However, he was too scared to talk to her.

After thinking about it for a while, Bai Xi Xi decided to make a turn. Instead of heading home, Bai Xi Xi decided to stop by the ice cream shop.

If he wanted to talk to her, Fu Chen could always stop by the ice cream shop as well.

When she arrived, there were not many customers around. Bai Xi Xi entered the shop and looked at the selection of ice cream behind the glass.

From the corner of her eyes, Bai Xi Xi could see Fu Chen entering the ice cream shop as well.

Without glancing at him, Bai Xi Xi spoke, “Why don’t you choose an ice cream as well? This time, it would be my treat.” Then, she looked up and smiled.

Fu Chen seemed embarrassed when Bai Xi Xi turned around to look at him. From her words, he could figure out that Bai Xi Xi had long noticed his presence.

And he thought that he was being too careful.

“You have something to talk to me?” Bai Xi Xi tilted her head to one side. “Let’s talk while we eat.”
