The world trembled as the walls of Naz remained strong after surviving the powerful attack of the enemy. Atop the walls of Naz, Damon stood with a deep frown while looking at the enemy forces below. From the fog, countless supernatural beings slowly emerged and many were dead soldiers who fell victim in Linchester.

With each victory, their number increased, and their strength doubled. Just like Damon’s undead army use to be in the past. If he was still alive from the very beginning and his millions of undead soldiers remained, they wouldn’t have lost the empire to the Beyond and his forces in the first place.

Damon looked at the army below and frowned again. Amongst his soldiers, their ordinary soldiers would simply die useless deaths at the hands of the enemy and only the knights of light could compete with these supernatural beings but they were already outnumbered.

The prevention of mana circulation had backfired on the enemy, leaving them in a condition where they can barely do a thing about it.

Not only were all the soldiers here young but compared to the member of the palace of death that has been hidden away for the past thousand years, these people lacked experience in all forms.

“We will get overwhelmed soon.... The gates won’t last long” Damon said with a deep frown. There is a limit to how much he could handle with this body but even then he remained extremely calm.

In fact, he wore an amused look on his face when looking at the army below. He wanted to see how Klien plans to deal with him. Going against his former ally seemed more fun than the other since they were well aware of each other strategies and methods.

“Show me what you are capable of” Damon whispered coldly before turning and vanishing from the walls.

As if in response to his words, Klien revealed a cruel smile as he casually reached out for the empty sky and grabbed the wind turning the clouds blood red. His eyes carried the weight of the world as they let out a bright blood-red glow and with a simple wave of his hand and a new set of soldiers emerged from the shadows and raced forward.

Each of them was dressed in black robes, with their faces covered.

“At night the true monsters of the world appear. We the believers of the great god of death and destruction bring the night with us as when we fight.....” Lucy said as she held on tightly to Klien’s hands who nodded in response.

His cold gaze remained pinned on the spot where Damon once stood and after a short while, he let out a defeated sigh.

“Do it!” Klien said with resolve in his heart.

He didn’t come here to lose, he planned to push Damon and his forces back till they reach the imperial capital where the God of death will be resurrected. After that, he has nothing else to worry about, he will finally be able to rest and join Cyrus and Gin in the afterlife.

“I won’t keep you guys waiting for long. I just have to help our dear friend one last time and I will come over” Klien said with sharp eyes.

The shadow mages clasped their hands together and for the first time in the lives of most of the guards of the gate, they saw a massive magic array appear below and above the clouds. Even Damon who was walking down the stairs of the wall stopped and looked in the direction of the dark sky with a deep frown.

“We claim Naz in one night! Not even god can stand against this movement!” Klien declared with fierce eyes.

Meanwhile, atop the walls of Naz, the archers released another volley of arrow attacks, covering the dark sky and raining down on the enemy forces below but Klein looked unperturbed by this.

His eyes let out a bright glow as his body trembled violently. His soul shivered under the power he was gradually accumulating and with a single punch forward, a blood sea exploded from this body and covered the entire army like a barrier!

Sounds of countless arrows smashing against a solid surface filled the sky but Damon showed no emotions. By this time, he and the Gravity spirit had reached the ground where their main forces were located!

“Prepare the war weapons. Take positions, the real battle is about to begin soon” Damon said in a low and calm tone but his voice was transmitted to over fifty thousand soliders lined up before him.

If these people think they can take Naz under his watch then they must be delusional!

Damon sneered in his mind as he turned to look toward the gates. He watched as flaming arrows were fired rapidly but the fear he could perceive from these soldiers only grew stronger with time.

Their attempts were not working, it’s obvious it won’t work they are going against one of the original four members of his group when he was still in the Gyro Kingdom magic academy.

When they were kids, even though Klein wasn’t a host he could still keep up with them because he was extremely skilled and powerful.

“The only person that can kill this man is me,” Damon said with a crazed grin on his face.

Unknown to him on the other side of the battlefield, Klein wore the same crazed smile anticipating the great battle about to take place now.
